OISC Experiment

99 agents running OISC VMs with 64 slots of program space. The first and second values in their memory are read as linear and rotational velocity respectively. The memory for each agents is initialized as random values to begin with.

Inactive agents are drawn in grey, while agents that exhibit non-zero linear or rotational velocity are drawn in black.

Since the original programs are random, there are a large number of agents which never end up moving, as their program never modifies their velocity values.
